Por fin apareció el juego. América ganó al Milan, sí, al histórico italiano, y lo ganó muy bien. Es normal que ante estos sonados triunfos aparezca uno que otro antiamericanista demeritándolo, pero eso sucede siempre. Aquí nadie se engaña, todos entendemos que Inter, Milan y Chelsea están en pretemporada, una etapa algunas semanas anterior a la del América que ya está a menos de ocho días de iniciar su campeonato. Pero aún así, ganarles a estos clubes no es de todos los días, mucho menos para el futbol mexicano, que por más que nos resistamos, seguimos ubicados en el tercer mundo cuando hablamos de la pelota (y de muchas otras cosas más).
Habrá quien diga que en torneo oficial, en un partido que se juegue «en serio» estos equipos nos pasarían por arriba fácil, y quizá tengan razón, no sólo al América sino a cualquier otro de México y la inmensa mayoría de todo el contienente. Pero por ahora, en un torneo amistoso, «que no cuenta», donde no se juega nada, el América ha conseguido un empate y un triunfo, y en ambos juegos fue superior mostrando cosas que llegan a ilusionar.
En el futbol se puede ganar, perder o empatar, eso lo sabemos todos. La cosa no pasa por ahí. El futbol se trata de emocionar, y hoy, a ratos, este América nos emocionó a todos. Porque jugó libre, suelto, fácil e inteligente. Sí, es una versión precaria del tope futbolístico, pero ése es el camino y no otro. Jugando así importa menos el resultado, además, es más difícil toparse con derrotas.
Todos se vieron bien, ni siquiera es necesario repasar actuaciones individuales porque el equipo, todo, jugó a lo mismo. El más exigente dirá que Mosquera sigue partiendo de la posición que no debe, o que Reyna no resuelve casi nunca ninguna jugada, o que Beausejour está lejísimos del desequilibrio que imaginamos antes de su llegada; sin embargo, las deficiencias y las carencias son parte de cualquier equipo, ya no existen más los equipos perfectos (bueno, el Barça hoy podría refutar esa verdad); a propósito, tenemos un torneo mexicano imperfecto, gris y mal jugado, por lo que tampoco (sí, suena mediocre) se necesita una máquina de hacer futbol para pelear por el título. Aquí nos detenemos para recordar la gigante mediocridad que mostró Ordiales en sus declaraciones de ayer: «El torneo pasado nos quedamos fuera sólo por un gol». La incompetencia no debe acompañarse de cinismo, porque justamente eso es lo que nos detiene al momento de proyectar un América digno de pelear por el torneo.
Qué seguridad da Rojas. Como si el chileno quisiera aclararnos que nunca debieron dejarlo ir (y a su favor tendremos que reconocer que su partida coincidió con la debacle), hoy confirmó que es el hombre que se necesitaba atrás. Mosquera es buen jugador, también lo está mostrando, pero el liderazgo en la defensa no se puede comprar, el que piense (Bauer) que con una contratación se puede adquirir liderazgo en la defensa no sabe de futbol. El liderazgo no se porta en los zapatos, se comparte en las intenciones. Ahí tendremos que decir que Rojas y Mosquera lo han encontrado uno junto al otro.
El regreso del Cuervo también aclara por qué eran imprescindibles Davino, Villa, Pável y Cuauhtémoc (o quizá por qué lo siguen siendo). No por el juego individual, exclusivo de sus pies, sino por lo que generan a su alrededor. Las voces que acusaban vejez, lentitud y hasta grilla (hoy Cuauhtémoc habló más fuerte que nunca del América), han aprendido una lección de por qué hay hombres que nunca, en ningún momento, en ninguna situación, deben abandonar un Club. Por cierto, el Milan y su Maldini algo tendrían que habernos enseñado desde hace tiempo.
La otra nota agradable fue Esqueda. Sí, suena raro. No son pocas las personas, todas ellas del medio futbolístico, que han dicho literalmente que en los entrenamientos se le ven cosas de crack. Claro, en muy poquitas ocasiones hemos visto estas referencias dentro de los partidos, aunque de vez en cuando regala uno que otro destello de aquello que han comentado. Obviamente no llega a ese grado de nivel, pero sí que tiene cualidades para jugar mucho, pero mucho mejor, y lo que vimos hoy nos puede dar un indicio. Se movía, tocaba de primera, buscaba paredes, devolvía otras, remató de lejos, generó espacios, buscaba valiente el uno contra uno, y hasta se despachó con un gol. La esperanza es que veamos eso en el torneo.
Y el gol del triunfo también hay que rescatarlo. Hoy el nombre de Daniel Márquez nos dice muy poco, son escasos los minutos que lo hemos visto jugar, y muchos menos los que han sido en juegos trascendentes; ya ni hablemos de jugadas dignas de recordarse. Su gol hay que calificarlo como golazo, no cualquiera remata de esa manera. Oportuno, técnico y contundente. Todo en un segundo. No jugará mucho el próximo torneo, pero si hace eso al menos una vez más en diecisiete fechas, habrá que voltear a verlo más detenidamente.
Otra vez, no nos engañamos. Sí, son los mejores equipos del mundo, están a años luz del futbol mexicano (por algunos momentos las jugadas de Ronaldinho nos regresaban a la realidad), pero se ganó y nadie puede resistirse a sentir cierto grado de alegría y muchas dosis de esperanza. No por el triunfo, sino por el futbol que vimos varios minutos. Ya sabemos (y suena ridículo) que el torneo será más difícil que esto. En la jornada 1 San Luis preocupará mucho, pero mucho más al América. De cualquier manera, para como está la cosa, esa preocupación la dejaremos para dentro de ocho días, y por ahora no queda más que festejar este triunfo y frotarse las manos para cerrar bien el domingo contra Chelsea.
