PARA ANTONIO CARLOS SANTOS ESTE SERÁ UN CLÁSICO SIN INTERÉS

El Clásico América – Chivas es un partido que a todo aficionado al futbol interesa. No importa si no se sigue a uno u otro equipo, este partido despierta un interés especial en todos los aficionados al futbol.

Pero Antonio Carlos Santos, un americanista de sepa e ídolo de los cremas, opina que en esta ocasión no será así. Para el Negro el encuentro que se disputa este domingo ha dejado de tener la relevancia propia de un clásico, ya que la mala campaña de ambos equipos ha hecho que el aficionado pierda interés en el encuentro más importante de toda la temporada.

“Naturalmente que este partido ha perdido interés, la gente no es tonta, sigue a los equipos que van ganando. Para el aficionado no es lo mismo seguir a su equipo si va en primero que en último. El América ha caído en la mediocridad, al igual que el torneo mexicano, que es muy mediocre y por eso a la gente ya no le interesa ir al estadio, pero los jugadores tienen que salir a dar la cara y mostrar respeto por la gente porque a los americanistas ya no les agrada ir al estadio a ver a su equipo perder”, comentó el ídolo azulcrema.

Molesto y triste por los últimos resultados del equipo de sus amores, Santos sabe que las cosas no andan bien en Coapa y, aunque no pierde la ilusión de ver a las Águilas retomar el vuelo, Toño se ha resignado a ver una liguilla más sin el América dentro de ella.

“Sólo un milagro hará que el América califique. En éste torneo no hay repechaje y al no haber repechaje hay equipos que tienen mayor número de puntos y este partido, el clásico, no va a servir para nada más que para la rivalidad, para que los técnicos saquen conclusiones de las cosas buenas y malas que tiene el equipo, pero hasta ahí, es muy difícil que el América califique.”

Santos recuerda con alegría y añoranza su época de jugador americanista en la que tuvo la fortuna de participar en muchos clásicos. Sabe que son partidos especiales que se juegan a muerte, aunque también reconoce que los duelos entre Chivas y América han dejado de ser lo que en antaño eran, en gran parte, por el manoseo de jugadores entre América y Chivas provocado principalmente por algunos directivos americanistas.

“Fíjate que globalizaron el futbol mexicano intentando llevar jugadores de Chivas al América y eso perjudicó al clásico; eso lo hicieron directivos americanistas que no sabían ser directivos, eran únicamente amigos del dueño y por eso no entendían lo que es el América. Yo creo que el amor a la camiseta se ha perdido por eso, porque no hay identidad, el amor a la camiseta nace o de chico o ya como profesional, cuando comienzas a ganar títulos comienzas a sentir el cariño, la pasión por tu equipo.”

A lo largo de la semana previa a este duelo se habla de que son días especiales, de que los jugadores viven y entrenan de una manera diferente.

“Naturalmente que es un partido especial, toda la gente te habla, te dice, ustedes (la prensa) quieren entrevistas, están todo el día en los entrenamientos. El presidente o el dueño iba a ofrecernos prima triple, teníamos que ganar a fuerza porque así nos lo decía el dueño y eso hacía que vivieras intensamente esa semana”, finalizó el ex jugador del América.
