Se terminó la historia del América en la Libertadores 2008. El equipo empató sin goles en Ecuador y se quedó fuera de la Copa por tercera vez en la instancia de Semifinales.

La ilusión estaba en que por este partido América cambiara la muy pobre impresión que dejó en sus dos últimos partidos, tanto en Brasil como en el Estadio Azteca. Lamentablemente no fue así. América llegó con la necesidad de marcar un gol si quería mantener la esperanza de seguir con vida en el torneo y Juan Antonio Luna optó por arrancar con un delantero más. La realidad fue que la intención de buscar con mayor fuerza la portería rival sólo se basó en la idea de tener un hombre más en la zona ofensiva, porque en los hechos el América sólo pudo disparar dos veces al arco.

Lo que mostró el equipo, sin embargo, pareció ser el máximo nivel que este equipo podía alcanzar. Alcanzamos a observar que los jugadores se entregaban, luchaban y deseaban la clasificación, pero desafortundamente sus propias limitaciones futbolísticas, como casi siempre sucede, pesaron más que las ganas de querer trascender en la Copa.

Individualmente los americanistas tuvieron una buena actuación, dentro de sus posibilidades y circunstancias, hay poco para reclamarles. En lo colectivo fue donde encontramos la mayoría de las carencias, y esto venía desde meses atrás.

Sorpresivamente el equipo no extrañó a Sebastián Domínguez, lo de Carlos Sánchez e Ismael Rodríguez fue para resaltar. En cambio, el equipo sí extrañó a Cabañas, quien no apareció, o no lo dejaron aparecer como el América precisaba. Rodrigo López fue un buen acompañante, luchó más de lo que jugó, pero le bastó para manetener ocupada a la defensa rival meintras estuvo en el campo. Para mala fortuna americanista, el uruguayo no llegó con ritmo de juego, una debilidad que pesa gravemente en estas instancias.

Notable igualmente fue lo de Armando Sánchez, sin duda el mejor juego que ha tenido desde su debut. Primero como contención y después como defensa central. Mostró rapidez, circulación de balón, llegó siempre a tiempo a los cortes defensivos y expuso una personalidad que le hubiera hecho mucho bien al equipo durante los meses anteriores. Como sea, mejor tarde que nunca.

En la segunda mitad, y con el tiempo encima, Juan Antonio Luna mandó a la cancha a Argüello, Higuaín y Mosqueda, pero nada cambió. Ni siquiera se pudo observar más dinámica ofensiva y jamás provocaron peligro alguno para los ecuatorianos. Igualmente faltó lanzarse decididamente al frente en los últimos diez minutos, al emnos para provocar alguna falta cerca del área contraria o un tiro de esquina a favor. Agrupar 5 o 6 hombres casi fijos a la ofensiva que pudieran acceder hacia alguna llegada de peligro. La lógica indicaba que a esas alturas había que arriesgarlo todo, de cualquier manera un gol ecuatoriano no cambiaba nada, el América permanecía con la necesidad de un solo gol al menos para enviar la eliminatoria a los penales.

Y para terminar, confirmamos que los arbitrajes sudamericanos siempre llevarán la balanza cargada hacia su lado. La expulsión de Argüello fue tan penosa como inexplicable, y mejor ni hablar de los dos minutos que Pozzo dio como compensación. Seguramente el América no hubiera hecho mucho más, pero son detalles que reflejan cómo es que la Confederación Sudamericana va a poner siempre un obstáculo más para las aspiraciones mexicanas en estos torneos.

Así terminó la historia de la Copa Libertadores 2008 para América. Luego de un semestre desastroso en la Liga, y un año y medio con participación en torneos sudamericanos, es tiempo, ahora sí, de plantear qué es lo que vendrá en los próximos meses, porque quedó claro que este América, el que hemos visto en los últimos años, está totalmente agotado.

Bienvenidos a la Realidad como ya lo havia externado en otro comentario esta es nuestra triste realidad lamentablemente tenemos que reconocerlo es cierto que no se les puede reclamar nada a los jugadores en cuanto a entrega pero no alcanzo,,, tambien creo que quedo demostrado que la restructuracion tiene que comenzar hoy presentar a el presidente el cual tiene que nombrar el tecnico esta semana y comenzar con la limpia del plantel lo antes posible ya que el llamdad futbol de estufa ya se esta moviendo,, el sr luna no se pude quedar en mi oponion ya que demostro en estos dos ultimos partidos que le falta,,, para mi no devio comenzar LOPEZ la verdad no ayudo en nada a CABAÑAS y como en las dos ultimas finales que hemos disputado contra pachuca y contra arsenal el no definir en el estadio azteca nos costo los dos campeonatos y ahora esta semifinal… en fin solo queda ver hacia adelante y esperar que la tan nombrada RESTRUCTURACION sea eso y no otra tomada de pelo… de a lista de jugadores que tiene que salir creo que todos estamos de acuerdo quines son….

Esta es nuestra triste realidad, el de apostar todo con jugadores jóvenes que no alcanzan todavía a comprender la importancia de vestir la playera del América, jugadores con muchas carencias que probablemente en el fútbol llanero sean unos cracks, pero ya a nivel profesional no dimensionan entre el ser ordinarios y el de ser extraordinarios. Esperemos que con esta desastroza experiencia que pasaron algunos logren superar esta etapa y se dediquen a demostrar su valía, y los otros que mejor se dediquen a otra cosa porque las limitaciones que tienen ya no les ayudan para dar más de lo que no pueden.
    De la reestructuración, en lo personal considero que no vá a haber tal, probablemente van a dejar ir a los extranjeros que vinieron únicamente a pasear en los diferentes estadios de la República Mexicana, y de los jugadores mexicanos mediocres, esos si son intocables por la bola de mafiosos que tienen en su poder a los nefastos Directivos del Club.

  3. Pos que querian?? que el PEOR!!! equipo de la temporada en Mexico quedara Campeon de la copa Libertadores, Para mi ver solo nos vieron la cara a los miles de aficionados para seguir enrriqueciendo a los OGTES Administrativos del club.

Ni hablar otra vez en el camino, le pusieron ganas todos pero se vio la carencia de gente creativa en la media cancha, bien por los que demostraron que aman la camisa y se pusieron a jugar, del silvante ni hablar muy poco tiempo de compensacion. Es tiempo de planear bien las cosas para las proximas temporadas, ver k jugadores se van a kedar, yo opino que los de la cantera deberian quedarse y ser respaldados por gente de experiencia, ya se ve k la gente de cantera da resultados en otros equipos ahi esta Paco Torres y Arce con el america no tenian continuidad ahora son excelentes jugadores.

  6. Hacen falta dos cosas en este tipo de «eventos» ja. Uno, a la CONMEBOL le faltan árbitros y dos, a esos «árbitros» les faltan huevos. Mediocrísimo, tendenciosísimo y en genral, vergonzoso trabajo del central, inventando expulsiones, añadiendo nada al reloj luego de seis cambios, aún cuando había permitido que ese hijo de su puta madre de Clos -quien por cierto no recibió sanción alguna por llamar a los mexicanos «muertos de hambre» o a la bandera «un trapo»- se tardara medio puto minuto en despejar, haciéndose pendejo con un pisotón artero al tobillo de Cabañas e ignorando por completo la distancia reglamentaria de una barrera en tiro libre.

    Ah, pero no aprendemos y ahí vamos a dejarnos robar y sobajar por querer jugar fútbol y ganar una copa continental. Si aparte de jugar contra equipos marrulleros, hay robos dentro -y fuera- de la cancha, podemos seguir esperando 50 años, porque nunca nos van a permitir ganar sus torneos.

    No te puedes condenar en una serie con sólo los primeros 90 minutos, se supone que para eso son 180 y la prueba más fehaciente es el partido contra Flamengo. Cuando vas a hacer tu partido pero te van acuchillando de a poquito en poquito, exactamente como sucedió con la vergüenza esa de equipo llamada arsenal de sarandí en diciembre pasado, es imposible.

    Y terrible además, porque los equipos mexicanos son los únicos que juegan contra sus propios errores, la suerte, los equipos que ni por error conocen el mentado ‘fair play’, los que ya no se pueden llamar «arbitrajes», los estadios ¡y hasta la falta de seguridad dentro y fuera de los mismos! y en general, contra toda una confederación que, repito, nunca va a permitir que sudamérica y México compitan deportiva y justamente a nivel de clubes porque es obvio, MUY OBVIO, quien es superior a dicho nivel.

    hay que verle el lado positivo….es cierto que no se pudo pero creo que se relizaron grandes cosas que aun los detractores del AMERICA reconocen.
    America esta dentro de los mejores del continente.
    Elimino a 2 equipos brasileños….y el Maracanazo nunca se Olvidaraa…..

    Creo que si se pudo hacer mas pero los jugadores hicieron un gran esfuerso….hay que tomar en cuenta que habia muchos lesionados que los pusieron de titulares por que no habia mas en la banca.

    no olvido que se fracaso en el torneo local pero con el gran torneo que hicieron el la libertdores se ganaron el respeto de todo mexico.

    y si no preguntenle a las Chivas que con todo y su superliderato quedaron eliminadas.

  8. Pues, ni que decir, si descalificamos de la copa (sin perder) pero creo que fue un buen sabor de boca el que nos dejo el «cabezón». Si bien es cierto nadie esperabamos llegar a esta instancia, por lo menos nos hizo soñar un poco mas, aunque creo que deberíamos conseguir otro DT, porque él hizo un muy buen trabajo, pero sentí como que no tenía muchos esquemas, aún así, mi mas sincero agradecimiento a él por este tiempo.

    Creo que no podemos seguir quejandonos del arbitraje, aun y cuando sea un robo o no, pues considero que ya es tiempo de que el América pueda remar contra todo esto, porque ultimamente he visto que se culpa mucho a los arbitros, y aunque también me cagan como marcan, también deberiamos de aprender a manejar mejor los partidos, SIEMPRE caemos en lo mismo: que vienen al Azteca y hacen tiempo para todo, no nos cobran faltas, el equipo contrario se tira descaradamente al piso, etc… pues me duele aceptarlo, pero así es como nos ganan y así se ganan este tipo de juegos, y al América le falta saber jugarlos, ese colmillo que tienen los sudamericanos es lo que nos mata en estas instancias, y no solo al América, veamos la Selección, pero esto solo es lo que considero yo, ¿no se como la vean ustedes?

    Pero bueno, ahora hay que esperar la famosa reestructuración y esperemos que en esta ocasión no sean espejitos y al menos tener también un buen uniforme.

    otra cosa es triste ver como jovenes en el ultimo partido que tiene para demostrar que pueden estar en el america no lo den todo en la cancha me da un coraje ver como mosqueda entra en los ultimo minutos y el tipo trotando como si fueramos 3 a 0 como en lugar de meter el pie con fuerza el tipo se arruga en todas las jugadas osea el tipo entro a retener el balon como si fueramos ganando.
    ayer me senti triste no tanto como en la final contra el arsenal porque, porque sentia que aquella vez teniamos mas oportunidad de ganar esta vez el hecho de llegar a esta instancia fue un logro jugando siempre en inferioridad numerica desde el principio por ejemplo con castro pero bueno espero que se haga un buen estudio de lo que paso esta temporada y nu vueva a pasar nunca.

Si quedamos eliminados pero los ecuatorianos no nos pudieron ganar en 180 minutos, 1-1 aqui en el Azteca y 0-0 alla o sea que realmente nadie puede decir que ellos fueron superiores, miren se que es el reglamento de la Conmebol pero de no existir la ventaja que da el gol de visitante se hubiera llegado a los penales y ahi si hubiera sido un volado. Más alla de todo esto el gol de visitante siempre nos ha perjudicado (Se acuerdan temp. 1990 – 1991 final contra la Unam). De que el arbitraje fué pésimo, tendencioso y localista eso todos lo sabíamos antes de jugarse el partido que no quieren a los equipos mexicanos en Sudamérica pero ya tenemos 10 años compitiendo contra ellos y siempre ha sido asi y no cambiará. Por otro lado si considero que a partir de hoy se tienen que empezar a menear los «nuevos» directivos para elegir a los refuerzos, los que se van a quedar y el D.T. porque el próximo torneo comienza en Agosto y yo creo que tienen 2 meses para hacer su analisís y buscar esos jugadores que tanto requiere el AME, xq otro torneo tan pésimo como este que acabó no creo que haya americanista que lo aguante. Por el bien de nuestro amado equipo espero que tengamos un segundo semestre mejor y que regrese el CUAU

  12. ayer ls jugadores se la partieron pero ps no nos alknzo pero se vio garra eso c extrañaba jugaron muy bien ksi to2 mm y ps q decir d ls arbitrajes son unos sin verguenzas pero ps ya sabiams q ivams a enfretarnos a esto, las5tima no se pudo pero ps llegamos mas lejos d lo q c pensaba ya q tniamos muchas limitaciones sobre todo un creativo pero ps hay pa la otra no hay mas gracias aamerik x todo estarems esperando la reestructuracion y ojala y se hagan las cosas bien y ya no sigan cn la mafia d hurtado q cmentaron anteriormente

Se hizo mas de lo que se esperaba realmente, lastima que la directiva del America, cuando tubo oportunidad de refozarse no,lo hizo, siempre le falto un creativo, uno que desiquilibrara en los momentos dificiles, y no quizo traerlos, ejemplos (Trezor moreno, Zinha,)ayer se vio esa inoperancia ofensiva, la defensa trabajo mejor de lo esperado, la recuperacion bien, pero Cabañas pocas oportunidades, Ridrigo Lopez Lucho pero sin talento no se puede, yo le hecho mas la culpa a la Directiva de este fracaso, porque ellos son los que toman las desiciones, pero se ve que no quieren hacer las cosas bien en su momento, parece que ya querian que terminara su participacion para realizar su reestructuracion,

Ni hablar…, entre lo limitado que ha estado el equipo, las malas desiciones de los directivos tanto del club como de la FEMEXFUT y la corrupción a favor de los equipos sudamericanos por parte de la maldita CONMEBOL, acabaron con los sueños «reales» de nosotros los americanostas (así como históricamente han acabado con las aspiraciones de otros equipos mexicanos), pues a pesar de que a lo largo de la temporada del campeonato local (que tiene más nivel futbolistico que todas las ligas sudamericanas juntas)el américa dió más que pena; en la «copa BOCA libertadores de américa»(ups, es decir, copa santander libertadores de américa)el quipo se mantuvo a buen nivel, y de no haber sido por las raras y tendenciosas desiciones arbitrales que en efecto fueron pequeñas pero muy seguidas, es probable que (no lo aseguro)que el equipo hubiese avanzado… pero en fin.

    Ahora solo espero que de verdad renueven al club y que saken a toda la lacra que ha pretendido echar a perder su grandeza, que por amor a Dios le bajen a la prepotencia y trabajen con más humildad, que sean mucho más accesibles con los jóvenes talentosos que aman realmente al américa y que pretenden ingresar a las fuerzas básicas, que no solo ingresen los hijos de influyentes y adinerados, sino que realmente se tome en cuenta el verdadero talento (que sí existe); es dificil aceptarlo, pero las chivas son un claro ejemplo de que trabajar con fuerzas básicas es el camino que nos asegurará el éxito.

    Aún tengo muchas cosas por decir, pero éste sitio no daría a basto.

  16. compañeros americanista ayer le aplaudi al america dieron su mejor esfuerzo no traiamos equipo ni refuerzos recuerden que estabamos muertos contra flamengo me siento satisfecho con lo que se hizo no tengo nada que reclamrles el proximo torneo sera bueno y al final america no perdio lo dejo fuera el reglamento

No se esperaba que el equipo llegara tan lejos en la copa continental, cierto es la realidad del equipo, la realidad del esfuerzo para este equipo tan limitado del cual no se esperaba tanto, sin embargo nos hizo soñar muchos sabiamos que estaba muy complicado de pasar a la final y mucho más alzar el trofeo mas importante de america, pero yo como americanista de verdad nunca dejé de tener fé como siempre la tengo esten las circunstancias en las que esté, la realidad cual sea, por esto no me agrada que hasta que el equipo cae empiecen las críticas hacia el club. Ni modo se tiene que trabajar en verdad mucho para lo que viene…en lo personal como me gustaria colaborar para la mejora de el equipo de mis amores, pero como simple aficionado no resta mas que apoyarlos hasta el final, ojalá y se haga una buena planeación en el club aunque sabemos que es muy dificil por la «gran» capacidad que tienen los directivos pero en fin a esperar y desearle lo mejor al América.
    A por último en lo personal me gusta mucho como escribe Jairo comparto muchos puntos de vista, pero en lo del «woody» Sanchez se me hace la verdad un jugador lentísimo y de baja calidad para alinear en el partido de ayer y que lástima que desprecie a Cervantes que venia teniendo continuidad apto para jugar es lo que más me molesto, y si cierto le vi mejoria (sanchez) pero es un ejemplo claro de gente que no es de la talla del club, y de paso del gran trabajo que tiene que tener las fuerzas básicas. un saludo y suerte!

Las actuaciones del América para mi ya quedaron atrás, lo bueno y lo malo, lo que no puedo olvidar es que a algunos señores les paguen por analizar partidos, y siempre dicen, el arbitraje fue malo pero no influyó, creen que porque los errores arbitrales no se dan en jugadas de gol, o dentro de las áreas, ya no influyen, lo cual demuestra que tienen muy poca capacidad para el análisis. Cuando el arbitraje es tendencioso, parcial, mediocre, marrullero, con favoritismos, incapaces, ignorantes de las reglas mas básicas del futbol, claro que influyen en el resultado.
